Hever Castle is a small, moated, castle built around 1270. It's the famous house of Anne Boleyn, the wife of King Henry VIII, in the 16th century.

In 1903, Hever was sold and a restoration programme saw the construction of a Tudor village alongside the castle to accommodate servants and guests, an Italian garden, a maze, a lake and a walled rose garden.

In July, Jousting Festival : Costume dressed Knights in battle in the castle's grounds.


Royal Tunbridge Wells began as a spa in 1606, when its medicine spring was discovered. Royal patronage followed. 

The heart of the original town is called " The Pantiles", a three lined promenade with 17th and 18th century houses.
